Whether you are staying in you’re hometown, heading to another part of the country or in a foreign country and looking to spend the day exploring, there are a number of things to consider when planning a day trip:

What to do when you get there? Where to eat and drink? What to wear? What bag to take?

To make that last question easier for you to answer I’ve found 14 beautiful bags to make your day trip perfect.

A backpack can be stylish as well as practical, securely keeping hold of your belongings, and your hands free.

Satchels are another cool and practical way of keeping your belongings close to hand.

Handbags are a great way of carrying your essentials for the day, you may even be lucky enough to find one suitable for carrying a camera.

Small cross body bags are a nice, elegant way of carrying a few of your small essentials if you don’t feel a larger bag is necessary.

I don’t know about you but I try to avoid looking to much like a tourist when I’m travelling.
I also like finding bags and accessories that are perfect both for use during the day and night.
No matter what type of bag you choose, just make sure that you keep it securely fastened, no matter where you are, pickpocketing is always a risk.

What is your favourite type of bag to use on a day out or when you are travelling?

Let me know in the comments.

I like all the bags pictured in the article. I like the TJ Maxx blue backpack and the Gianni Bernini from Macy’s. I also prefer not to stand out as a tourist, but depends on where I go to, that can be difficult. Such I am blonde-haired and fair-skinned, so if I went to places like Asia or South America I can’t avoid standing out as a foreigner. However in western Europe I can easily blend in.
