My UK Travel Bucket List

There’s a possibility that you have a bucket list of places that you would like to travel to, but how many of them are in the country you live in? The more I think about the foreign countries I would like to travel to, I can’t help but feel that I just haven’t seen enough of the UK. I have therefore put together my UK travel bucket list of places that I would like to visit in the future.
So here are my reasons for wanting to visit each place, some fab inspirational photographs and great blog posts by brilliant bloggers.
Edinburgh
With wide open green spaces, beautiful museums, a variety of bars and pubs, and a world famous castle. Why would you not want to visit Edinburgh?Â

Belfast
If I’m honest, I don’t know very much about Belfast, which is probably a brilliant reason to go there.

A beautiful, remote landscape that is just dying to be explored.

With a multitude of lakes, meres and waters, it’s a vast area that I would love to discover.

The Shetland archipelago consists of 300 islands, I can’t imagine anyone would ever visit them all, but to explore just a few would be an amazing experience.

I should really visit more of Yorkshire seeing as that is where my Dad is from originally but have only ever been to Doncaster, York and Harrogate and although lovely there is much more to see, especially the Dales.
Despite lots of holidays on the South Coast as a child we never went as far as Cornwall which I would also love to see.
I never went anywhere in my 20s so now I’m in my 30s I definitely feel like I want to make up for it but I’m not one for adrenaline-fuelled trips or rushing around, I much prefer a slower, more relaxed trip and the UK is great for that, especially at the weekend.

Well, I’ve done 4½, off your bucket list, but you have been far more adventurous in your travels than I was at your age.
I’ve ticked off the Lake District, Snowdonia/North Wales (and Snowdon 3 times, but you’ll have bagged that soon) . Add Pembrokeshire (go to the north around Fishguard and St David’s, it’s got a beautiful coastline!) we’ve had a day in Oxford and Cambridge and half a day in Bath.
On my UK bucket list is the Hebridean islands, Bath, Shetland and the Orkney Islands.
Already ticked off is the Jurassic Coast/Portland, The Yorkshire and Derbyshire Dales, Cornwall, Whitby, North Norfolk, London (but there is always more to discover there.) Dover too.
We are also beginning to explore our lovely county much more too. Lots of little gems are appearing, but sometimes that is due to your ages and interests changing as you get older.
