I’m not one for making New Year resolutions, I do however love making plans. So as we’re two weeks into January I’ve realised that I do actually have plans for 2020 that I would love to bring to fruition.

My Plans for 2020

UK Weekend Trips

Foreign travel is exciting and there are so many places that I want to visit, but I also have to remind myself that I simply can’t go everywhere and that actually UK travel can be as interesting and exciting as any trip abroad.

I have a few ideas for weekend breaks that won’t require my passport or exchanging currencies and even though I haven’t made any actual bookings yet I’m excited to start planning some days out and weekend breaks.

Have a Declutter

I’ve already started this, having a declutter seems to be a popular way to start the year, but for me it also makes me realise just how much crap I’ve accumulated and now need to get rid of. The clearing of space will ultimately be the positive outcome but when you’re a bit of a compulsive shopper and a hoarder it’s definitely a challenge.

The fact that I have a full time job means I am limited with regards to time so I’ll be working on it in small batches. This will hopefully prevent the overwhelm and risk of procrastination.

Learn and Improve Skills

When I left full time education I decided I didn’t want to have to take any more courses, but more I work on running this blog the more I’ve realised that I’ve actually enjoyed learning the skills that go along with it.

I’ve already found a couple of courses that I want to take over the year so I’ll let you know how that goes in the future.

I love reading, but I find that often I’m too tired or distracted to take the time to pick up a book and let my mind wander.

This year I want to give myself more opportunities to tackle that shelf of books and sit down to enjoy them. I’ll be discussing this more on Instagram so stay tuned to my Stories.

What are your plans for 2020?

Let me know in the comments.
